Fun and Brunch at a Winter Wedding | Lubbock, TX

Last December I had the honor of helping Lindsey and Dalton plan their winter wedding in downtown Lubbock. As fan of antiques and architecture I find downtown weddings in historic buildings just as swoon worthy as garden receptions or ceremonies in stunning vistas. Add in this couple’s fun personalities and sweet families and you have a celebration infused with just the right touch all the elements of Christmas magic:  fun, family, and joy.

Lindsey and Dalton first meet in third grade, reconnected as friends in high school, and were even roommates in college before eventually dating. Their long history shows in their settled, connected love and partnership.

They embraced the December timing of their wedding infusing the decor and flowers with deep red accents and winter greens by Dayspring Designs. My favorite details were the adorable wood sled used as a cake stand and the custom sock favors made by Lindsey’s employer Foot Cardigan (they are so soft and I wear them all winter long!).

I think you’ll agree that Photo by Betsy perfectly captured this morning ceremony and brunch reception!

Thank you so much for all your help. You were wonderful and I so appreciate your calm, sweet spirit! You were fabulous and saved our lives. Love, Aimee (Mother of the Bride)

  • I love it! What a sweet day! Thanks for making this such a beautiful, easy day to photograph! Hopefully we can work together again soon.

    • Betsy you were a dream to work with; I’d love to work with you again too! And, you are such an artist that I had a hard time picking a “reasonable” amount of photos for this post. (As if there is such a thing as a defining a “reasonable” number of photos. 😀 )

  • You’re the best, Jessica! Loved scrolling through this post and reliving that day. I can’t believe it’s almost been a year! Maybe I’ll finally get around to posting wedding photos and our video on Facebook now, ha! 🙂

    • I so enjoyed working with you, Dalton, and your families! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with keeping those memories to yourself and not sharing them on social media. But, that said, I’m thrilled you enjoyed seeing the post. It really was hard to pick favorites, Betsy had so many beautiful and artistic images to choose from!
